Orbian releases third annual ESG & SCF Report
The importance of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) for companies across the globe has never been greater. Particularly following the pandemic, stakeholders expect companies to manage the impact of their operations on the environment and society. This means the repurposed and reshaped supply chains of the future will need to be characterized by both resilience and responsibility.
Our annual ESG & SCF report was developed as an annual benchmark, to measure our client’s perspectives and outlook on ESG. Most businesses have stated that they regularly consider ESG in their operations. This year’s survey highlighted a key trend – while ESG is important, the ripple effects caused by the unprecedented disruption to global supply chains are still being felt by suppliers. SCF firms must support suppliers, not impose greater burdens. It is crucial that as an industry we approach ESG with humility, using a carrot rather than a stick approach when promoting sustainable SCF.
