Orbian receives a King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade
It is with the very greatest pride that we can announce today that Orbian has received a King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
“This award, made by His Royal Highness King Charles III on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, represents the highest accolade for companies in the UK. Since the award was first established 58 years ago, as the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, it has recognised the greatest levels of achievement in Industry, Trade and Sustainability.
2024 marks Orbian’s “Silver Jubilee”: 25 years since the company was first incorporated. Over this time, we have strived every day to meet the needs and demands of our corporate and financial services clients at the highest levels of service and product excellence. We have remained narrowly focussed on Supply Chain Finance, not because we did not see opportunities elsewhere, but because we believe that the world’s most demanding companies will best entrust their critical working capital goals and procurement base funding to a firm that is simply devoted to being The Best.
I had the privilege of beginning my career at Morgan Guaranty Trust, now JPMorgan Chase. The abiding principle, passed from the founder, was “First Class Business, and that in a First Class Way”. Orbian is not a banking behemoth, but that has never got in the way of us seeking to conduct our business every day in fashion consistent with this philosophy.
I would like to thank the Prime Minister for making this recommendation. More especially, I would like to thank all my colleagues at Orbian, and all of the clients that we are so privileged to serve, for making this possible.
Onwards for the next 25 years!!”
Thomas Dunn, Chairman at Orbian
